HERAZUR LLC / SUBGUARD
SubGuard privacy policy
Effective October 20, 2026
This policy explains how Herazur LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information in SubGuard, an Android app for tracking your subscriptions and free trials and reminding you before they renew. SubGuard is published on Google Play (package com.hera.subguard.subguard).
Summary
- There is no SubGuard account. You do not sign in, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
- The subscriptions, prices, dates, and notes you enter are stored only in a database on your phone. We do not have a server that receives them.
- The one exception is the optional Lifetime Pro purchase: Google Play and RevenueCat process it, using a random identifier rather than your name or email.
- There are no ads, analytics, or crash-reporting tools. We do not sell your personal information or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Information that stays on your phone
Your subscriptions
For each subscription or trial you add: the service name, price, billing cycle, next billing date, trial end date, status (active, paused, or cancelled), category, notes, the “manage subscription” web address you enter, and your reminder settings. SubGuard also stores your currency choice and whether Lifetime Pro is unlocked. All of this is kept in a database inside the app’s private storage on your device.
Reminders
Renewal and trial-ending reminders are scheduled locally by Android on your phone. They are not sent from a server, and no push token is created. The notification shows the service name and the upcoming date or price, so it may be visible on your lock screen depending on your Android notification settings.
Home-screen widget
If you add the SubGuard widget, it shows the names and dates of your next renewals and trials on your home screen. The widget reads this from the app on your phone.
No device backup
SubGuard opts out of Android’s automatic cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so your SubGuard data is not copied to your Google account or to a new phone. To move it, use the backup export described below.
Information that leaves your phone
Lifetime Pro purchase
SubGuard is free to use for up to three subscriptions. Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the limit. Google Play processes the payment, and we never see your card details. The app uses RevenueCat to check whether Lifetime Pro is active and to restore it. For this, each time you open the app, the RevenueCat software in the app contacts RevenueCat with a random app user ID that it creates on your device, together with technical information such as the app version, your device’s operating system, and your store country, and receives your purchase status. If you buy or restore Lifetime Pro, RevenueCat also receives the Google Play purchase details (the product, purchase time, and purchase token). Your subscription list, notes, and other entries are never sent to RevenueCat.
Backups you export
In Settings → Export Backup, SubGuard creates a JSON file containing your subscriptions and currency setting and opens Android’s share sheet. The file goes only where you choose to send or save it, such as a file manager, an email, or a cloud drive, and that service’s own privacy terms then apply. The file is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere you trust. Import Backup reads a file you pick and replaces the subscriptions on your device.
Links you open
If you tap a “manage subscription” link you saved, SubGuard opens it in your browser or the related app. SubGuard does not fetch the page itself.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, microphone audio, or advertising ID. SubGuard does not read your bank, card, or app-store transactions; it knows only the subscriptions you type in.
Permissions
Notifications: to show the renewal and trial reminders you turn on. Run at startup: to re-create scheduled reminders after your phone restarts. Google Play billing: for the optional Lifetime Pro purchase. Internet and network state: used by RevenueCat for the purchase check described above. SubGuard does not request access to your files, photos, or camera; backups are chosen through Android’s file picker and share sheet. You can change notification permission in your device settings at any time.
How we use information
Information on your device is used by the app to show your subscriptions, spending summaries, widget, and reminders. Purchase information is used to unlock and restore Lifetime Pro, to prevent misuse of purchases, to respond to support requests, and to meet legal obligations, such as keeping transaction records.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that process it on our behalf to run the app:
- RevenueCat: purchase status for Lifetime Pro, linked to a random app user ID.
- Google Play: app distribution and payment for Lifetime Pro.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or others. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where data is processed
Your subscription records are stored on your device. Purchase records may be processed by Google and RevenueCat in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.
Retention
- Data on your device is kept until you delete it in the app, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall SubGuard.
- Backup files you export stay wherever you saved or sent them until you delete them.
- Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat are kept so that Lifetime Pro can be restored, and as the law requires for transaction records.
Deleting your data
SubGuard has no account to delete, and we hold no copy of your subscription list. You control your data on the device:
- Delete a single entry: on the Subscriptions tab, tap Edit on the subscription, then Delete Subscription, and confirm. Its scheduled reminders are removed too.
- Delete everything: open Android Settings → Apps → SubGuard → Storage & cache → Clear storage, or uninstall SubGuard. Either removes all SubGuard data from the phone. Because SubGuard opts out of Android backup, no copy remains in your Google account.
- Exported backups: delete the files from wherever you saved or sent them.
If you bought Lifetime Pro and want the purchase record held by RevenueCat deleted, email support@herazur.us with the subject “SubGuard data deletion” and your Google Play order number (it starts with “GPA.”), and we will confirm when it has been deleted. You will then need to tap Restore purchases to unlock Lifetime Pro again. Google keeps its own record of your purchase under your Google account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can view, edit, export, and delete your subscription data in the app. For other requests, email support@herazur.us. We aim to respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Your subscription data is kept in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read, and is excluded from Android cloud backup. Communication with Google Play and RevenueCat is encrypted in transit. Exported backup files are not encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
SubGuard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has made a purchase and want the related record deleted, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
