HERAZUR LLC / LIFERUNG
Liferung privacy policy
Effective October 20, 2026
This policy explains how Herazur LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information in Liferung, an app that turns your real-life goals and habits into quests: you earn XP, level up, unlock skills, and break bigger goals into Journeys. Liferung is published on Google Play (package com.herazur.liferung).
Summary
- Liferung needs an account (email and password, or Google). Your quests, Journeys, and progress are stored in your account so they sync across your devices.
- Only your signed-in account can read your data. There is no social feed, and other users cannot see it.
- Smart Journey drafts and suggested steps are optional. When you use them, the text you submit is sent to Google’s Gemini model.
- There are no ads. We do not sell your personal information or use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- You can delete your account and its data at any time from inside the app.
Information we collect
Account information
You sign in with an email address and password, or with Google. Firebase Authentication stores your email address, a random user ID, and your sign-in method. With Google sign-in, Firebase also receives the basic profile Google shares with the app, such as your name and email address. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see them. If you ask for a password reset, Firebase sends the reset email.
Profile
Your display name, your email address, the life areas you chose as focus areas, whether you finished onboarding, your level, rank, total XP, Skill Points, momentum and activity counters, unlocked skills and achievements, your reminder settings, and when the profile was created and last updated.
Quests, Journeys, and progress
Everything you create in the app: quests (title, description, category, difficulty, priority, due date and time, repeat rule, reminder time, status, and completion and skip history, including sub-quests made with the Quest Splitter), Journeys with their chapters and Boss Quest, focus sessions (start and end time, duration, and the linked quest’s title), XP history, daily statistics, and weekly reviews, including the reflection and next-week focus you write. This is stored in Cloud Firestore under your account.
Text you send to the optional AI features
Smart Journey generation and, with Liferung Plus, suggested steps in the Quest Splitter run only when you start them. For a Journey, the app sends the goal you type and any optional details you add (category, target date, prior experience, minutes per day). For step suggestions, it sends the quest’s title, description, and category. The text goes from the app to Google’s Gemini model through Firebase AI Logic, which returns a draft. Nothing is saved to your account until you review the draft and keep it. The request contains only that text; your profile, your other quests, and your reviews are not included. The app keeps a count of how many drafts you have requested on your device, to apply the usage limits.
Notifications
Quest, daily-quest, Journey target-date, and daily planning reminders are scheduled by your phone and their content stays on the device. If you allow notifications, the app also registers a Firebase Cloud Messaging push token for your device and stores it in your account with the platform name and the time it was last updated, so that we can reach the devices you use.
Purchases
Liferung is free to use. If you buy Liferung Plus (monthly, annual, or lifetime), Google Play processes the payment and we never see your card details. RevenueCat manages the purchase and links it to your Firebase user ID, so Plus follows your account to your other devices. RevenueCat and Google Play receive the plans you view, buy, or restore, purchase tokens, and subscription status, along with technical details needed to validate a purchase, such as app version, device platform, store country, and IP address. They do not receive your quests, Journeys, or reviews.
Usage and diagnostics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used, for example that a quest was completed, a skill was unlocked, or the Plus screen was viewed. These events contain counts and categories, never quest titles, descriptions, goals, reviews, or your email address. Firebase Analytics also records standard information such as app opens, sessions, device model, operating system, app version, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports with the device model, operating system, app version, and technical details of the error, without the text you wrote. Both are linked to your Firebase user ID while you are signed in. Advertising ID collection is turned off.
App integrity
Firebase App Check uses Google Play Integrity to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the app.
Information that stays on your phone
The app keeps a local copy of your account data so you can read and edit quests and Journeys without a connection; changes sync when you reconnect. Your theme and accent choice, your sign-in state, scheduled reminders, and the AI usage counters are also stored only on your device. This local data is removed when you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app.
Permissions
Notifications: reminders you turn on and push messages. Vibration: a short haptic cue with reminders. Run at startup: to schedule your pending reminders again after the phone restarts. Internet and network state: sign-in, sync, the optional AI features, and purchases. Google Play billing: buying or restoring Liferung Plus. Liferung does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, files, contacts, or location. You can change notification access in your device settings at any time.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure your account; store and sync your quests, Journeys, and progress across your devices; calculate XP, levels, ranks, skills, achievements, and statistics, and apply the limits that stop the same action being repeated for XP; generate the AI drafts you request; send the reminders you choose; provide and restore Liferung Plus; fix crashes and improve the app; prevent abuse; respond to support requests; and meet legal obligations.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that process it on our behalf to run the app:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check): accounts, data storage and sync, push notifications, usage analytics, crash reports, and app integrity checks.
- Google Gemini, through Firebase AI Logic: the goal or quest text you submit to the optional AI features.
- RevenueCat: Liferung Plus purchases and status, linked to your Firebase user ID.
- Google: Google sign-in, Google Play Billing, and Google Play Integrity.
Google processes the text you send to the AI features under the Gemini API terms. On Google’s no-cost tier, those terms allow Google to use submitted content to improve its products, and it may be reviewed by people. Do not include personal or sensitive details in a goal or quest you send for a draft. More information: Firebase privacy (opens in a new tab) and Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or others. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where data is processed
Your account data is stored in a Cloud Firestore database in the European Union (multi-region). Authentication, AI requests, analytics, crash reports, notification delivery, and purchase records may be processed by Google and RevenueCat in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.
Retention
- Your profile, quests, Journeys, progress history, weekly reviews, and device push tokens are kept while your account exists. You can edit or delete individual quests and Journeys at any time.
- When you delete your account, all of this data and your sign-in account are deleted.
- Analytics data is kept for the retention period set for our Firebase Analytics property, and crash reports for Crashlytics’ standard period of 90 days.
- Purchase records held by RevenueCat and Google Play are kept as needed to provide and restore Plus, handle refunds, and meet accounting and tax obligations. Deleting your account does not delete them automatically; you can ask us to (see below).
- Data stored only on your phone stays until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings → Delete account (also under Settings → Data & privacy → Delete your account), tap Delete account, type DELETE, and, if you sign in with email, enter your password. This permanently deletes your profile, quests, Journeys, skills, achievements, focus sessions, XP history, daily statistics, weekly reviews, and registered devices from our database, cancels your scheduled reminders, and deletes your sign-in account. It cannot be undone.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Deleting your account does not cancel a Liferung Plus subscription: cancel it in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
If you can no longer use the app, email support@herazur.us from your account’s email address with the subject “Liferung account deletion”, and we will delete your account and confirm when it is done. To also delete your purchase records at RevenueCat, include your Google Play order number (it starts with “GPA.”).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can view and edit most of your information in the app. For other requests, contact us at the address below. We aim to respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Our database security rules allow only your signed-in account to read or write your data, and the app attaches sign-in and app-integrity tokens to requests to the AI features instead of carrying an API key. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Liferung is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
