HERAZUR LLC / GIGGUARD
GigGuard privacy policy
Effective October 20, 2026
This policy explains how Herazur LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information in GigGuard: AI Contract Scanner, an app that reviews freelance contracts and highlights risky clauses. GigGuard is published on Google Play (package com.gigguard.gig_guard).
Summary
- You sign in with an email address and password or with Google.
- Text is read from your documents and photos on your phone. Only the contract text and file name are sent for analysis, and only when you start a review. Your photos and files themselves are not uploaded.
- Your scan history is stored on your phone. If you subscribe to GigGuard Pro, it is also backed up to your account in the cloud.
- There are no ads, analytics, or crash-reporting tools. We do not sell your personal information or use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- You can delete individual reviews in the app, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Information we collect
Account information
To use GigGuard you sign in through Firebase Authentication. If you use email, we receive your email address and the password you choose, which Firebase stores in hashed form. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier and the name, email address, and profile photo link that Google shares. Your account is identified by a random user ID.
Contract text you submit
You can upload a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file, choose a JPG or PNG image, take a photo with the camera, or paste text. The app extracts the text on your phone: PDF, DOCX, and TXT files are read on the device, and text in photos is recognized on the device with Google ML Kit. You can review and edit the extracted text before you start the analysis.
When you start an analysis, the contract text (up to 12,000 characters), the file name, and your app language are sent to our server and passed to Google’s Gemini API, which returns the risk review. Your photo or file is not uploaded. Our server does not save the contract text; it passes it to Gemini and returns the result to your phone.
Scan history
Each review is saved on your phone with the file name, date, risk score, the findings for the five risk areas, any flagged clauses, and the contract text. If you have an active GigGuard Pro subscription, these reviews, including the contract text, are also backed up to your account in Cloud Firestore so that you can restore them after signing in on another device.
Daily scan count
Free accounts can run one analysis per day. To enforce this, our server records how many analyses your account has run on each day (UTC).
Purchases
If you subscribe to GigGuard Pro, Google Play processes the payment and we never see your card details. RevenueCat tells the app and our server whether your subscription is active, linked to your random user ID. The app keeps your subscription status and expiry date on your phone.
App integrity
We use Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity to confirm that analysis requests come from a genuine copy of the app on a genuine device.
Settings stored on your phone
Your app language, light or dark theme, whether you have finished onboarding, and a list of reviews you deleted (so a cloud backup does not restore them) are stored only on your phone.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your location, contacts, or advertising ID. GigGuard does not use analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising tools, and it does not send push notifications.
Permissions
Camera: taking a photo of a printed contract so the app can read its text on your phone. Files and images are chosen with the system file picker, which gives the app access only to the file you select; the app does not request access to your photo library or storage. You can change permissions in your device settings at any time.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure your account; analyze the contract text you submit and return the review; keep your scan history on your phone and, for Pro subscribers, back it up and restore it; enforce the free daily limit; provide and restore GigGuard Pro; protect the service from abuse; respond to support requests; and meet legal obligations. We do not use your contracts for advertising.
Sharing your results
If you tap Share on a result, the app opens your phone’s share sheet with a short summary (file name, risk score, overall rating, and a disclaimer). Where it goes is up to you; we do not receive a copy.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that process it on our behalf to run the app:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check): sign-in, Pro history backup, daily scan counts, the server that handles analysis requests, and app integrity checks.
- Google Gemini API: the contract text, file name, and language of each analysis you start.
- Google Sign-In: optional sign-in with your Google account.
- Google ML Kit: text recognition in photos, which runs on your phone.
- RevenueCat: subscription status and purchase history, linked to your random user ID.
- Google Play: app distribution, in-app purchases, and Play Integrity checks.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or others. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where data is processed
Our service providers, including Google and RevenueCat, may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.
Retention
- Your account and daily scan counts are kept while your account exists.
- Reviews on your phone are kept until you delete them in History or uninstall the app. Signing out does not remove them from the phone.
- Cloud backups of Pro reviews are kept until you delete the review in the app or your account is deleted.
- Our server does not keep the contract text it sends to Gemini. Google processes it under the Gemini API terms.
- Purchase records held by Google Play or RevenueCat may be retained as the law requires.
Deleting your account
To delete a single review, open History, tap the delete icon on the review, and confirm. This removes it from your phone and, for Pro subscribers, from your cloud backup.
The app does not yet have a button to delete your whole account. To delete your account, email support@herazur.us from the email address you use in GigGuard, or the address of the Google account you sign in with, with the subject “GigGuard account deletion”. We will delete your sign-in account, your cloud backup of reviews, and your daily scan counts, and confirm when it is done. To remove the reviews stored on your phone, uninstall the app.
Deleting your account does not cancel a GigGuard Pro subscription: cancel it in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can view and delete your reviews in the app. For other requests, contact us at the address below. We aim to respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Analysis requests are accepted only from signed-in users using a genuine copy of the app, and the free daily limit and Pro status are checked on our server. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
GigGuard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Not legal advice
GigGuard’s reviews are generated automatically by AI and are for information only. They may be incomplete or wrong, and laws differ between jurisdictions. GigGuard does not provide legal advice and does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Consult a licensed attorney before making a legal decision.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
